Get over it!!! If America can forgive a President for "not inhaling", then a trio of alleged stoners can forgive an overrated director for impugning their reputations.

Hey I know Wooderson, Floyd and Slater. I went to high school with them. They are not filing this lawsuit because the movie impunes their reputation. They are mad because they didn't get a cut of the money. I have to admit I was pretty suprised Rick Linklater used everyones real names. I'm also suprised it took this long for someone to finally file the lawsuit. Guys do yourself a favor and get out of Huntsville Texas. There is so much more to this world than that stinking backwater. And by the way....you guys were HUGE STONERS. But so what and who cares??? You shold be glad Rick put his memory of you in his movie, it was damn accurate.

I have lived here for almost two years now. I know people at the college and locals. The bottom line is that if you don't smoke pot or go to the bars every night then you have no life. It's a small town. And locals smoke all the time, at least if you know the right ones.

Dawsons speech at the end pretty much sums up the way every teen, feels about high school politics and pressure, "Well, all I'm saying is that I want to look back and say that I did I the best I could while I was stuck in this place. Had as much fun as I could while I was stuck in this place. Played as hard as I could while I was stuck in this place..." That's the point of high school isn't it? Four years to live the best years of your life, and hopefully never loose sight of who you are as you get older. I'm not saying be a stoner forever, but just remember what it was like to be young. After all that, it's really sad that Wooderson, Pink, and Slater turned out just like the people they were fighting to be.
