HAHA! If we have to suffer listening to that Barney song, than so do they...

I don't even want to THINK about having to hear "I love you, you love me"... 24 hours straight! Hey, I wonder if they'll use "The Song That Never Ends"? Now that would be REAL torture!!

They could use Mariah Carey too, but that would be a war crime. (Sorry to George Stroumboulopoulus... I stole his joke).

ummm you mean bodies by drowning pool MSNBC, try looking it up guys. Don't you pay people for that after all? Plus if Enter Sandman was rough on them good thing they didn't use any of Metallica early stuff it would have been over sooner.
ChuckyG - May 22, 2003 - Report this comment
Enter the Sandman is rough to listen to, but only because it marked the end of the loud agressive Metallica, and marked the emergence of Metallica version 2, or the Winger sound-a-like years as I like to call it.

Not only are the Iraqis cowards, they also have bad taste in music. Blast them in their lairs!

ChuckyG, they used both. Drowning Pool's Bodies, and Metallica's Enter Sandman & One.

Follow-up; Lars Ulrich whines about Metallica's music being played to drive Iraqis away: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1472566/20030611/metallica.jhtml?headlines=true

They're missing out on the airplay royalties

Jeff, that was my first guess too.. If you read the comments though, Lars is unhappy his music is being used for torture, and instead recommends someone else's music. How kind, he doesn't like his music being used for torture, but is all too happy to point to an alternative. Sorry, they're still a bunch of tools.. and I don't mean Tool, they actually make decent music...

well Chucky G, I think you can go and shove your head up your ass, if you were successful enough to have kept a band running for over twenty years, then i might actually agree with you, but it doesn't look that way to me. Lars had every right to do what he did. I think you need to look at yourself very hard and think..why am i so skeptical? Luv liddy
