I saw this as predictive of an apocalyptic future - after all, the parent album is called "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1" (or simply, the '10 to 1 album'). It's a shame that one of its writers, the lead singer Peter Garrett, turned into the world's biggest hypocrite when, after railing against uranium mining for years as it gave the potential for countries to make nuclear weapons, he suddenly joins the Federal Labor Party (more money) and says as the Minister it's okay for the environment to mine uranium and okay to send it overseas. (He also didn't speak out against his leader when apprentices were getting electrocuted to death during a hasty government pork-barrelling roof insulation scheme). While I didn't agree with a lot of his former opinions (including his being against uranium mining), I used to admire the man for standing up for what he believed in. Now I have no respect for him whatosever.
