taught the clowns how to cover up a queer blues guy
Original Lyrics:
taught the clouds how to cover up a clear blue sky
The dead often blurred the words to sound ambiguous at live shows (dead shows?). Some whoever is singing backup (harmony) will have slightly different lyrics from each other.
