Hocus Pocus was once an opening act for Grand Funk. Their hit song was 'Focus.' In this song the phrase, 'Up all night with Freddie King, I got to tell ya' poker's his thing .' (allegedly mistaken for 'Hocus [is] here to sing.' One reason for the alleged mistake was public knowledge of Don Brewer's alleged admiration for Hocus Pocus's singing abilities.
