Nat King Cole, "Christmas Song(Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)"
Misheard Lyrics:
Jazz not ronsting by an open file,
jack frost snaping at your nose,
you'll tide care all being some bar quarrel,
and fox dressed up as eskimos
Original Lyrics:
Chestnuts roasting by an open fire,
jack frost nipping at your toes,
yule tide carols being sung by a choir,
and folks dressed up as eskimos
Editor's note: Full title of the song is "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)," but that won't all fit in the box. Also, it is NOT a 'Traditional' song; it was written in 1945 by Bob Wells and Mel Torme, and first recorded by Nat King Cole a year later. Other artists have since covered it.
