What A Band is Best Known For (aside from their music):

"25 Miles," Elvis Costello
Elvis Costello & the Attractions were banned from Saturday Night Live for 20 years for performing "Radio Radio" instead of "Less Than Zero" in a 1977 episode.

"Rock And Roll, Part 2," Great White
In 2003, Great White were doing a concert at a small nightclub in Rhode Island when they set off fireworks. BAD IDEA. A fire started, and 100 people, including a guitarist, died. I'm surprised no one's mentioned this yet!

Nonsensical Lyrics:

"Weird World" by Backstreet Boys
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
I've got to catch a plane
but I won't buy a ticket
Why They're Nonsensical:
Then how in the hell would you catch a plane if you don't buy a ticket? Aren't you required to buy a ticket before you board a flight?
Submitted by: Celeste
"Eat You Alive" by Limp Bizkit
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
I'm sorry. So sorry (damn, you're so hot!!)
Your beauty is so vain (damn, you're so hot!!)
Why They're Nonsensical:
I think Fred is trying to be complimentary with this bit, judging by the main subject of the song, but it doesn't work in the slightest considering he's implying that her beauty's either useless or arrogant in some way (way to go, Fred!) Which, all in all doesn't make sense to begin with.
Submitted by: Devil Jones
"Fat Lip" by Sum 41
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
Then if the egg don't stain you'll be ringing off the hook
Why They're Nonsensical:
I can't make this out. 'If the egg don't stain?' what? are you egging people's houses again? 'you'll be ringing off the hook' are you a telephone? I can't even tell if it's supposed to be an idiom or metaphor for that matter.

Bad Grammar in Song Lyrics:

"More Than Words" by Extreme
The Lyrics:
Saying I love you is not the words I want to hear from you.
Its not that I want you not to say....
More than words is all you have to do to make it real....
Why:
This song is a grammatical nightmare, with awful sentence structure; these are just some of the lyrics to show it. Gerund-verb agreement, subject-verb agreement, phrasing, and missing pronouns in this song are all atrocious! What were they thinking when they wrote this? Elementary students compose better sentences than this band can!

Upbeat Songs With Depressing Lyrics:

The Lyrics:
She was gonna be an actress.
She was gonna be a star.
Why:
The whole song is about a woman who's depressed because her life didn't turn out how she thought it would.
