Made Up Words in Songs:
"Beelzeboss" by Tenacious D
The Made Up Words:
Hey anti-Christ-er, Beelzeboss
Comments:
The song has combined the words "Beelzebub" and "boss". Would seem it means a boss from hell.

Bad Grammar in Song Lyrics:
"Ain't No Rest For The Wicked" by Cage The Elephant
The Lyrics:
There ain't no rest for the wicked
Money don't grow on trees
I got bills to pay, I got mouths to feed
And there ain't nothin' in this world for free
Money don't grow on trees
I got bills to pay, I got mouths to feed
And there ain't nothin' in this world for free
Why:
1) "Ain't no" and "ain't nothin'" are double negatives. 2) It should be "Money DOESN'T grow on trees."

"Workin' Them Angels" by Rush
The Lyrics:
Memory humming at the heart of a factory town All my life I've been workin' them angels overtime Riding and driving and living So close to the edge Workin' them angels - Overtime
Why:
Jonathan S. assumes the lyric "Workin' them angels" is a grammatical error. The context of the song is a person in a low paying, menial job (requiring low-education) who is praying constantly in hope that a "god" would solve his problems and make his life better, rather than working to solve them himself. The entire album, "Snakes and Arrows", is a critique upon religion.
