The Dated Lyrics: There's like the Galleria (Valley Girl) And like all these like really great shoe stores. I love going into like clothing stores and stuff.
Why They're Dated: Most of the Sherman Oaks Galleria was demolished following years of declining business and damage from the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. The Galleria finally reopened in 2002, but it is now much smaller and is no longer enclosed. Today the Galleria is an open-air, mixed-use center featuring several restaurants, an outdoor food court, theaters and offices. A sad time for Valley Girls.
